Dreams

I thought I'd use something I did a while ago for this topic. A few years ago, I would have these recurring dreams of being a female toddler -- this was naturally a bit weird for an adult male to fully understand, but I came to a realization about the little girl in my dreams.
I tied her in directly with my newfound creativity and it's development. I drew this picture of her, and saw it as a sign that I was in the infancy of realizing my true potential as an artist.
Years have passed and every now and then I draw her again, slightly older and slightly more -- complex. Things are going well between she and I...we are both growing and we are both happy.

Beautiful! I love all the pattern and designs.
A very nice drawing...I love it when "Pop Art" raises it's knotty old head again and again.
awesome style. wonderful interpretation. :)
I love the beautiful lines and patterns you've created...kind of psychedelic! She looks like she's gazing in wonder at the flower...that goes so well with your interpretation of your dream.
thanks everyone!
"kind of psychedelic" makes me chuckle a bit -- the contents of the sketchbook she comes out of is more than a __little__ pschedelic. I'm talking full on mind-bending mental hallucinations!
Some of my favorite stuff was born in said book...lately I've been trying to get back to traditional skills and a but of cartooning, but I can always feel the warm breath of psychedelic art on the back of my neck.
Thanks again everyone!
Nice drawing !
Your image could almost be translated into a Batik design. Love the patterns!!!
So have you read Jung? About the Anima and Animus? We all have an inner "other" who keeps us fed spiritually and creatively... or so he said. This reminds me of Bjorn Wiinblad rather than "pop" art...
wow!
I really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing!
